Since July 1995 a manufacturer can only sell within the EEC Lifejackets and Buoyancy Aids that have been tested to the European Directive and carry the CE mark of approval which has a similiar purpose to the BSI Kite mark. Each Lifejacket carries the CE mark of approval.

Lifejackets for the Workforce

The 3 featured Lifejackets and Buoyancy Aid have been tested to the European Directive and carry CE approvals. They are for use on construction sites, bridge building and repairs, rivers, canals, ports and harbours, water works etc and when foul weather clothing is being worn.

The lifejackets are all universal adult size (40kg upwards), are fully automatic CO2 inflation (with manual override), will inflate within seconds of being immersed in water and are designed to turn an unconscious person into a face-upwards position. Their 150 Newtons of buoyancy is suitable for inland and near-offshore risk areas. A higher buoyancy (275N) is needed for working over aerated water, far-offshore and when heavy protective clothing is worn. Call your local depot for details.

Options include harness models for deck restraint, manual-only inflation and lights.
